Did you know? SHE RUNS Grand Rapids (formerly Gazelle Girl) was founded in 2012 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Title IX- a key ruling that, among many other educational equity initiatives, ruled that women and girls have a right to equal access in sport. This ruling opened the door for many women and girls to participate on school teams- including running!

As we approach our 15th year of She Runs GR, Gazelle Sports is committed to carrying this celebration forward, and creating a space for all women at our starting line. As a 100% women-owned business, we know that providing safe, inclusive, and joyful experiences for all women, helps us build community in the places we call home.

From first-time walkers to experienced runners, the event fosters a positive, encouraging environment where participants motivate each other and celebrate achievements together.

Scenic and Fun Race Experience

The course at John Ball Zoo offers a beautiful, family-friendly setting, with engaging views, race-day energy, and festive post-race celebrations including finisher medals and custom shirts.

Giving Back to the Community

Every step makes a difference — the race supports local organizations like YWCA West Central Michigan and Girls on the Run, helping programs that uplift and empower women and girls.
