SHE RUNS Grand Rapids Meetups are a free and fun way to connect with others who are registered for the event or thinking about registering but want to find out more! Some Meetups will involve a training run and/or information, and some are just a time to socialize and get to know others in the run/walk community. Most Meetups require registration — especially if there is a waiver to be signed – so we know how many to plan on for that event. Check back often as new Meetups will be added during the next few months.

Mini Course Preview Meetup
Hispanic Center of Western Michigan, 1204 Cesar E. Chavez Ave., Grand Rapids, MI 49503
Preview some of the SHE RUNS Grand Rapids half course following a 30 minute adult Girls on the Run workshop about positive self-talk and finding life balance, something we can all use! The HOKA team will be there to outfit you with demo shoes and answer your shoe-related questions. Routes will be available for 2.5, 5, 8 and 12 miles. Water and bathrooms will be available at the Hispanic Center. Park in the Hispanic Center lot or across the street at Cesar E. Chavez Elementary School. Or, ride the RAPID to the Hispanic Center’s front door!

Social Teams Run and Trivia Meetup

Join others planning to participate on SHE RUNS Grand Rapids Social Teams – along with your family and friends — for a 5k with the co-ed Farmhaus Cider Run Club at 6:00 pm followed by Team Trivia at 7:00 pm! You’ll score $1 off your first post-run beverage at the bar, and if you keep coming back every Thursday, you’ll score swag for participating! Plus, New Balance staff will be on hand with sports bra demo opportunities for your run or walk, and the HOKA team will be there to outfit you with demo shoes and answer your shoe-related questions.

Learn how to build core strength with others training for SHE RUNS Grand Rapids events! One of the Planet Fitness personal trainers will take you through a rotation of exercises designed to build your core on your cross-training days to provide stability, balance and endurance for your effort on April 30.

Get your long run or walk in with others training for their SHE RUNS Grand Rapids event while previewing parts of the event day courses. Meet at 8:30 am for a short warm-up led by Planet Fitness staff prior to heading out on 3, 6 and 12 mile training runs/walks. Water, GU chews and bathrooms will be available prior to and after your training at Planet Fitness.

Race Day Ready Meetup with The Urban Herd

Plan to meetup with the Gazelle Sports Urban Herd for a 8:00 am training run from the downtown store followed by a Race Day Ready panel discussion at 10:00 am featuring veteran SHE RUNS Grand Rapids participants and sponsors. Find out how to make April 30 the best race day experience possible! New Balance staff will be on hand with sports bra demo opportunities for your run or walk, and the HOKA team will be there to outfit you with demo shoes and answer your shoe-related questions. Parking is available at meters or the ramp on the corner of Monroe Center and Ottawa Avenue, a short walk from the store.
