SHE RUNS Grand Rapids Meetups are a free and fun way to connect with others who are registered for the event or thinking about registering but want to find out more! Some Meetups will involve a training run and/or information, and some are just a time to socialize and get to know others in the run/walk community. Most Meetups require registration — especially if there is a waiver to be signed – so we know how many to plan on for that event. Check back often as new Meetups will be added during the next few months.

Mini Course Preview Meetup

Get your long run or walk in with others training for their SHE RUNS Grand Rapids event while previewing parts of the event day courses. Meet at 8:30 am for a short warm-up led by Planet Fitness staff prior to heading out on 3, 6, 10, and 11 mile training runs/walks. Water, GU chews and bathrooms will be available prior to and after your training at Planet Fitness.

Race Day Ready Meetup with The Urban Herd

Plan to meetup with the Gazelle Sports Urban Herd for a 8:00 am training run from the downtown store followed by a Race Day Ready panel discussion at 10:00 am featuring veteran SHE RUNS Grand Rapids participants and sponsors. Find out how to make April 30 the best race day experience possible! New Balance staff will be on hand with sports bra demo opportunities for your run or walk, and the HOKA team will be there to outfit you with demo shoes and answer your shoe-related questions. Parking is available at meters or the ramp on the corner of Monroe Center and Ottawa Avenue, a short walk from the store. Or skip having to park your car and ride the DASH West to and from the Meetup!

The Loading Dock Gym (1348 Taylor Ave. N., Grand Rapids, 49505) 
3-mile slow and gentle shake-out run followed by an easy runner strength workout for 30 minutes, ending with meditation and a coffee/drink social after.
