I began running later in life and completed several events for charity, giving my running purpose. I have been running for about 10 years. Some runs go well, some don’t, but I feel blessed to be able to run giving myself the gift of improved mental and physical health. I was thrilled to be selected as a pacer for last year’s event! I have had the opportunity to run several marathons and half marathons, but encouraging other women to achieve the goal of crossing the finish line made that day very special! I have found running to be a great coping mechanism in tough times and very empowering in general. Running is a gift and I love the opportunity to encourage someone else along the way.
