10 years ago my brother passed away unexpectedly from a stroke. That was a wake up call for me to get in shape…so I signed up for my first marathon! 10 years later, I have completed 50+ marathons with many more planned. Running has changed my life in so many ways – I am much healthier and stronger than I have ever been, I have more self-confidence in myself and in what I can accomplish, and I have met so many wonderful people through running that have enhanced my life.
