Why Volunteer?

The heart of SHE RUNS Grand Rapids isn’t just the runners—it’s the incredible volunteers who make race day possible.

By volunteering, you’ll help create an unforgettable experience for thousands of women as they celebrate strength, confidence, and community. Whether you’re supporting a first-time 5K participant or cheering on someone chasing a half marathon personal best, your encouragement can make all the difference.

As a SHE RUNS volunteer, you’ll:

  • Be part of an inspiring event that celebrates women in sport and the spirit of Title IX.
  • Help create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive race-day experience for every participant.
  • Connect with fellow volunteers, runners, and members of the Grand Rapids community.
  • Experience the excitement and energy of race day from a unique perspective.
  • Know that your time directly contributes to an event that supports women and girls in our community.
